The Rainbow! Who has not been fascinated at the site of a rainbow in the sky? We look for them on cloudy days, especially after a good rain. I remember seeing a most magnificent double rainbow while Tracie and I were driving on the mainland Highway 17, just as we were coming off the Sidney Lanier Bridge. God had stretched a reflection of His glory across the marsh and the inter-coastal waters in the Golden Isles of Georgia. It seemed to connect the two great barrier islands of St. Simons and Jekyll. What a sight to behold! In science class you will learn that a rainbow is a reflection of the visible spectrum of light. Give kids a prism to shine light through, and they can play a long time making rainbows in the air and on the walls. But, do you know from where the rainbow comes? In Genesis 9:13, God says, I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”
